                        • review rating 5  Great meat market! Really like their bacon and steaks are great. Got rib eyes today and grilled them. Tender, juicy and delicious. 3 bucks a pound cheaper than other meat markets around and so tender!! Stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon is grill or oven ready and very tasty. Big box factory grocery store cannot match the quality.

review rating 5  Great place to buy fresh meat and sausage. They also do custom butchering. Make some awesome summer sausages. Great folks.

                        • review rating 5  Of you happen to be in Detroit at time when they’re open, do yourself a favor and stop. I almost kept driving and I’m so glad I turned around. The fatty end of the brisket had a perfect amount of flavor and melts in your mouth. The ribs were sweet and fell right off the bone. The cheesy potatoes, well I didn’t get enough of those. The boracho style beans were great too. I eat at a lot of BBQ places all over TX and I’ll rank this up there with some of the best. I’ll definitely stop back by.

review rating 5  The best brisket I've ever had!

review rating 5  Good bbq and sides with lots of sauces and absolutely love the market. Very unique with items you can't find most places. Great meat, cheese, and sausage selections. Definitely worth making a trip.

                        • review rating 5  Excellent BBQ. Everything I tried was on point. The owner / pitmaster's attention to detail shows in the quality of the meat and sides. Quaint decor creates a perfect atmosphere for a really cool BBQ joint. Given enough time, Smokeshack BBQ has the potential to become a legendary BBQ destination.

review rating 4  Clean, orderly. Counter service. Waitstaff was unassuming, eager to serve & watchful to help me meet my needs. Had the 2-meat plate ↝ juicy sliced beef & in-house-made sausage, potato casserole & green beans w/drink ($13.⁷³). Beef was perfectly smoked & almost melted in my mouth, & consummate sausage. 8 at Smokeshack Thursday ≈ ½ past 11 a.m. Little foot traffic, so at first had the place to myself. Historical bldg & quaint, charming decor, plaster over brick, 16-20’-high fancy, early-1900’s-style elaborately molded ceilings, where not open rafters. Pleasantly cool inside on a warm Spring morn. No WiFi. 🤠 Smokeshack’s owned by same owner for Detroit Processing. They’ve different addresses, but once inside Detroit Processing, butcher facilities share a door w/ their retail shop which shares a walk-thru wall w/ Smokeshack. You pay for Smokeshack food at Detroit Processing Retail counter. ✅ Worth a return trip to Detroit!

review rating 4  Grill was down, choice between spaghetti or roast beef. The roast beef was really good. But had my mouth set for catfish. Oh well, Very friendly people. Explained where we could park with our trailer the next time we visit.
